Christmas Tree Pass Field Trip

On January 24th, 2026, we will have a field trip to Christmas Tree Pass. The start of the trail is 13 miles south of Searchlight on Hwy. 95. GPS coordinates - 35.267856 – 114.870740 We will meet at 10 AM on Saturday January 24th. The trail is about 15 miles long and is a very good, graded dirt road that most all vehicles can traverse. We will be in parts of the AVI KWA AME National Monument, Bridge Canyon Wilderness, Sprit Mountain Wilderness, Lake Mead National Recreation Area and through the Newberry Mountains. There will be scenic views and wildlife possibilities. Towards the end of the trail, we will stop at Grapevine Canyon where a brief walk of about ¼ mile will take us to a site with over 700 petroglyphs. For more info call Ed Stiglitz 702-271-5011.
