Migration Is Happening—Let’s Go Find the Birds!

Late-summer and fall bird migration is underway in Southern Nevada, and this is the perfect time to get outside and discover it for yourself! Have you ever heard a bird calling from the trees and wondered, “What is that?” Or spotted something flying overhead and wished you knew what you were looking at? You’re not alone and you don’t need to be an expert to start birding.

Join us for this month’s NCC Beginners Group, where Ken Lawrence and Ed Stiglitz will share tips on how and where to find and photograph birds throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Bring your camera, and lenses, or simply bring yourself! No experience is necessary. We’ll talk about where the birds are, what to look for, how to approach them, and simple techniques for getting better photographs.

And there’s a lot to explore. From desert springs and oasis to creeks, ponds and wetlands, the Las Vegas Valley, is filled with surprising pockets of bird habitat. The best part?
