My photography journey began with simple curiosity and, over time, grew into a lifelong passion for capturing the beauty of landscapes, wildlife, and the natural world. I'm a self-taught photographer who learned through plenty of trial and error, early mornings chasing the perfect light, endless patience waiting for wildlife to make an appearance, and countless hours exploring the outdoors. Along the way, photography has taught me much more than camera settings, it has taught me patience, persistence, and a deep appreciation for the remarkable places and creatures that inspire every image I create.
Being named the 2025 Nevada Camera Club Photographer of the Year is both an incredible honor and a humbling milestone. It's a reminder of how rewarding this journey has been and how much there is still to discover. My camera has become more than just a creative tool—it gives me a reason to slow down, notice the details that often go unseen, and share the stories that nature quietly tells.
Over the years, I've been fortunate to receive several honors, including Best of Show and Best of Category in the Nevada Camera Club Annual Print and Electronic Competitions, 2026 Enchanted Lens Camera Club Photographer of the Year, and Judge's Choice Award at the Annual New Mexico Photographic Art Show (ANMPAS). My photographs have also been featured in Africa's Top Wildlife Countries travel guide, Nevada Magazine, Desert Companion Magazine, Africa Geographic, and other publications.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me outdoors, traveling, or exploring the country in our RV. Every adventure leads to new landscapes, unexpected wildlife encounters, and unforgettable moments that continue to inspire my photography. One of the things I love most about nature is that no two days are ever the same. There is always something new waiting to be discovered if you're willing to slow down and look.
I hope these photographs invite you to pause for a moment, appreciate the incredible beauty that surrounds us, and perhaps see the natural world through a different lens. Thank you for sharing this journey with me. It truly means a great deal, and I hope you enjoy my exhibition as much as I've enjoyed creating it.
