I invite you to come along on my journey for a quiet drama of a sunrise/sunset, the stillness before a bird takes flight, or the raw and untamed beauty of a mountain range. What started as a simple curiosity turned into a passionate journey in landscape, wildlife and nature photography.
As a self-taught photographer, I learned through trial and error, chasing light, watching wildlife and spending hours out in the field. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate not just the technical side of photography, but the patience and respect it teaches for the subjects I capture.
Nevada’s Camera Club 2024 Photographer of the Year recognition is a humbling reminder of how far this journey has taken me – and how much there is to explore. My camera has become a way to slow down, to see what’s often overlooked, and to share the stories of the wild places and creatures I encounter along the way.
As you view my gallery of photos you will see a few creative images among them. As a nature and wildlife photographer there are times, I need to set my creative spirit free.
Through the years my work has received numerous honors including Best of Show and Best of Category in Nevada Camera Club Annual Print and Electronic competitions, Judge’s Choice Award at the Annual New Mexico Photographic Art Show (ANMPAS). My images have been published in "Africa's Top Wildlife Countries" travel guide, Nevada Magazine, Desert Companion Magazine, Africa Geo and various other publications.
I enjoy the outdoors, traveling and RVing which blends well with my desire to capture and connect with those moments when nature let me in. And with each new adventure, I’m reminded why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
